The Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) has in the last years been adopted in many applications of various engineering fields: civil, (bridges, airports, buildings, commercial/industrial facilities, dams, tunnels, offshore platforms, telecommunications lifelines, liquid and gases transmission systems, railways, etc.), naval (cruising ships, luxury yacht, ports and hardors), aerospace (civil airplanes, unmanned air vehicles, military supersonic planes, space vehicles and stations). 
Those high technology methods are able to predict structure failure conditions enough time before they happen. Fatigue stress is also an important parameter expecially on hard enviroment conditions strucutres.
The OptoSmart company is able to provide specific tests to get long/short-terms on-line monitoring of structural parameters (displacements, pressure, strains, forces, vibrations) and thermal parameter. By using specific OptoSmart demodulators our engineers are able to acquire the desired data and can elaborate them to offer to the customer a complete report.

Today most of manufacturing processes are managed by a specific control apparatus. That is to maximize the number of products per time unit and to reduce dicarded pieces. At the same time the entire process control system can be connected to computers network to  let the end user to manage it from remote work sattions.
The OptoSmart company is able  to design or optimize an entire process control system. Typical applications might be industrial processes which uses oven, furnaces, CO2 or nitrogenum cooling chambers, pressure and vacuum control, pieces movement systems and many other. The OptoSmart engineers use specific loop systems (a sensing apparatus which manages directly an actuation one), by selecting the apropriate sensors.
